What we do

At Elucidate Science Communication we strive to communicate your science clearly, concisely, and accessibly, through writing, illustration, graphic design, and filmmaking.

We understand that creating an effective communication product starts with understanding your story. To this end, we bring with us graduate-level science training and over a decade of professional research experience; we work collaboratively with clients to ensure your message is fully captured and accurately conveyed.

Because effective communication is a reciprocal process, we specialize in facilitating dialogue and connection between scientists, practitioners, and the public.

Selected Publications

Some of the projects we have enjoyed the most are the ones that required us to get our boots muddy. Whether running biological surveys for fish in Montana, or setting up camera traps in the jungles of Borneo, field work is often an important part of the science we communicate.

Much of what we do, however, occurs "behind the scenes", particularly when projects are extensively based on literature research and writing. Although they don't always result in covers as beautiful as the one on the left (photo by Ch'ien Lee), our written products make up the core of our work.
